A Saudi national, Abdulaziz has over 3 decades of experience within the shipping and energy industries. Sabri’s leadership and strategic foresight have been instrumental in catapulting Bahri Ship Management into one of the world’s leading providers of technical and commercial ship management services. He started his career in 1989 at Saudi Aramco as a Maintenance Engineer. In 1996, he moved to Vela International Marine Limited, the shipping arm of Saudi Aramco, where he spent the next 18 years serving in a variety of roles. Following the merger of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia and Vela, he joined Bahri as Vice President – Technical Services in 2015. He has been in his current role as President for the last 3 years.

With over 20 years of sailing experience in reputable companies like Worldwide Shipping, Maersk Tankers & TK Tankers, Capt. Amit Taank stepped ashore and took over as Head of Training Dept @ Bahri Ship Management in 2016. He has commanded various Tanker Vessels for over 6 years during his illustrious career. He has been instrumental in shaping Bahri’s Safety & Training Culture and continues to add value through his rich experience.

Valeriy Baranov joined Mideast Ship Management in 2015 following the merger with Vela International Marine Ltd. For the past 2 years, Valeriy had served as Senior Superintendent - Fleet Security - Deputy CSO, where he had been responsible for the drafting and implementation of security policies. He joined Vela as Fleet Support Team Leader in 2009 being in charge of nautical and security policies, and insurance claims processing. Before joining Vela Valeriy had a 23-year seafarer career, last 10 years of which he was working in the Ship Master position of VLCC managed by Acomarit UK and Vela, and as Loading / Mooring Master of Smit Octo Luktrans Ltd at CPC-R Marine Terminal, Novorossiysk.
